TLDR: Konfir may not be available for self-employed individuals, non-UK company employees, or those without supported payroll data. UK-based employees are recommended to use Konfir to avoid delays, but applications can proceed without it if bank statements or Open Banking details are provided.
Do I need to use Konfir?
Konfir may not be available or applicable if you are self-employed, work for a non-UK company, or if your employment and income data is not held by a supported payroll provider or HMRC.
If you do work for a UK-based company, then we recommend completing Konfir to ensure there are no delays to your Homeppl application.
Can I still complete my application without Konfir?
If you have already provided your bank statements or connected via Open Banking, Homeppl can use those details to begin reviewing your proof of income. Konfir is not a mandatory step.
